"Continuous Improvement" at an important Gas Terminal in the Port
You are responsible for optimizing the HSSE performance and compliance. From a clear vision you work out a concrete action plan, linked to clear objectives. You inspire and support the entire organization to achieve the KPIs. Together with an HSSE Officer you organize preventive and corrective actions in accordance with the established policy and the law to be realized in the 4 subareas. Your top priority is to maintain the safety of loading, unloading and storage, construction and maintenance activities on site, with a view to people, the environment, processes and installations. As an expert you advise fellow managers and you are a confidant for the General Manager. You set the right priorities within this broad area of responsibility (including product safety and transport, the Port Facility Security Plan, ...). As a member of the Management Team you help determine business objectives. You report to the General Manager of Oiltanking Antwerp Gas Terminal and you maintain contact with corporate HSSE, the authorities, auditors, experts, neighborhood companies, ... and you fulfill your role as a prevention advisor and other legal duties.
Engineer, prevention advisor & environmental coordinator
You have at least 10 years of experience in HSSE, if not in a high-risk industrial environment. In addition to experience with applying an HSSE philosophy close to operations, you have already led a team or at least worked at management level. You are familiar with risk identification, analysis and evaluation, work safety, process safety, fire fighting, soil remediation, water purification, air emissions, transport safety, reporting, ... and change processes. In addition to your Master's degree, you also have a Level I Prevention Advisor Certificate and Level A Environmental Coordinator. You are a supporting manager who is inspired by enthusiasm, openness and expertise. "Safety first" is your natural reflex and you are the driving force and driving force behind the safety culture. You communicate and report clearly, in both Dutch and English.
